England Premier League
Sunday 25th February 2018
Kick off at 2:05pm GMT
Venue: Old Trafford
Match Preview:
The League Cup final might be the biggest game on Sunday but all eyes will be on this earlier fixture when Manchester United take on Chelsea. Apart from the obvious rivalry and a Champions League place at stake is the war of words between the two managers Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte which has reached boiling point in recent weeks. This in short is a match not to be missed.
Man Utd’s league form is not good with 2 defeats in their last three games but they remain in 2nd position. At Old Trafford only Manchester City have beaten them all season and from a possible 39 points they have scooped up 32. In the Champions League in midweek United were able to salvage a 0-0 result away to Sevilla.
Chelsea also had an important Champions League tie when they drew 1-1 with Barcelona. The Blues will feel more rested given that they have had an extra day to prepare and also their European game was at home.
A win for Chelsea would see them join United on 56 points but away form in recent weeks has been poor with just 1 win in their last four encounters.
