Manchester Utd vs Anderlecht Betting Tip Preview:Manchester Utd have been disappointing in front of goal this season, which has lead to a lot of winnable matches being draws. They have dominated the majority of their games, but just haven't been clinical enough. We saw this in their first leg of this tie with Anderlecht at Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, where despite having most of the possession and chances,
Anderlecht were still able to grab a late equaliser. Man Utd did however record a very good win against Chelsea at the weekend, which could possibly be a turning point in their season and the players self belief. As for this tie, Manchester Utd don't need goals as a 0-0 would put them through, however they must surely go for the win today as just 1 away goal for Anderlecht will give this game a much more difficult scenario for Man Utd. Defensively speaking, Manchester Utd are very strong, conceding just 11 goals from 17 home league games this season, so a home clean sheet could also be a likely outcome tonight. As for Anderlecht, they have been very strong domestically this year, however the Belgium League is not the standard of the English Premier League, and away from home they have been far less convincing. Losing more games, conceding more goals, and scoring less goals, which on paper should all lead to a comfortable Man Utd win tonight.
Besiktas vs Lyon Betting Tip Preview:When looking at the 1st leg of this Europa League quarter-final tie played at Parc Olympique Lyonnais, the 1st half of the match was actually very evenly balanced, and it was only after the half time break that Lyon were able to take control, and that's most likely because they had to at 1-0 down. This time round though, it's Lyon who have a lead to defend, and this is sure to change their mentality to one which is more defensive, it always does, just look at
Manchester City who were meant to go on the attack in their 2nd leg Champions League match against Monaco, yet they failed to deliver on the night. Lyon are known for being much stronger when having home advantage, domestically they have recorded 11 home wins and 39 goals from their 16 home games, yet away from home they have only managed 6 wins and 26 goals, making them far less potent on their travels, which is good news for Besiktas. There is a less noticeable difference in form for Besiktas when playing home or away, however they are more attack minded at the Vodafone Arena, scoring 10 more goals this season. Besiktas could be without a couple key players tonight, with Vincent Aboubakar suspended and Ricardo Quaresma unlikely to play having picked up a calf injury. Lyon don't have many injury concerns, however their star winger Memphis Depay is ineligible to play. This could be an interesting match, with both teams being fairly evenly matched, however with Besiktas needing the win, that could well be the incentive required for them to at least get a draw out of this game, which would be more than enough for our selection to win tonight.
