The game of the week in the Premier League will take place on Monday evening when Manchester United take on Tottenham at Old Trafford.

United manager Jose Mourinho is already under pressure after some of his outspoken comments and he hasn’t got all of the players he wanted in the summer. There has been a poll in some media outlets that he could be out of the club by Christmas, but football is a fickle business and if United can get a win here the waters could calm.

However they are taking on Tottenham who look full of confidence despite not buying a single player in the summer.

United beat Leicester on the opening day 2-1 but it wasn’t very convincing. They then played very poor when they lost away to Brighton the following week. As for Tottenham it is two wins out of two with victory at Newcastle followed by beating Fulham 3-1 at Wembley, as their new stadium still isn’t ready.

Manchester United: Alexis Sanchez should be back for this game after a minor injury. Luke Shaw suffered a minor foot injury last week and will be assessed ahead of this game

Tottenham: Heung-Min Son will miss the next few weeks as he is on international duty at the Asian Games.

Despite United’s recent woes there is no denying with that their full strength team at their disposal they are a force to be reckoned with, especially at home. But right now at this stage of the season they look second best to Tottenham in almost every departement. Mourinho clearly needs to mend some of his working relationships, something that he failed to do at Chelsea, and United do not look like a happy unit. There is a stark contrast at Tottenham as the team are really playing for the manager. The bookmakers cannot spilt the teams but we will try and will opt for an away win, covering the draw for extra safety.
