Match Preview:
Manchester United will be the odds on favourite to win this game at the weekend but we must remember this is a side who have lost 40% of their games at Old Trafford this season.
United are still in the hunt for a top 4 place but interim manager Ralf Rangnick has been criticised. This is mostly because there doesn’t seem like there has been any change at the club since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked. That does feel like a valid question, has this United side improved since Solskjaer lost his job 3 months ago? In truth United have hardly lost under Rangnick but the FA Cup exit recently at the hands of Middlesbrough was poor and that will leave a bad taste in the mouth.
At home United did win their last league game here as they beat a top 4 rival in West Ham. But they need to score more goals at home and have 18 so far, compare that to the top 3 who have scored at least 10 goals more.
Southampton are plugging away and earlier in the season took a point from United. They are one of the hardest working teams in the Premier League. The worry for the Saints though is that they will be too good to be relegated but not good enough to finish in a European spot, so the objective, because every team need one will be to finish in the top 10.

Manchester United: Alex Telles will be assessed after illness and could be included in the matchday squad here. Fred is out with illness.
Southampton: Nathan Tella is out with a groin injury. Alex McCarthy has a hamstring injury.
