England Premier League
Saturday 2nd March 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Old Trafford
Match Preview:
Manchester United won again in midweek in what was seen as possibly a tricky fixture for The Red Devils away to Crystal Palace, but they eased past them 3-1 and it would have been music to the fans ears to see Romelu Lukaku pop up and get the goals again.
United have a real chance to try and obtain 3rd place. They are currently in 5th position on 55 points but are just 5 points behind Tottenham and 1 point behind Arsenal and those teams play each other at the weekend, so United will be looking to capitalise on any dropped points.
United have 11 points from their last 15 and are still unbeaten under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the league, a run that has continued for 3 months. The club will be fully motivated for this game even though they will be playing PSG in the Champions League four days later, the club are trailing 2-0 from the first leg and that competition could be over for them this year.
Southampton got a massive result over Fulham with both teams struggling and their 2-0 victory means that The Saints are just above the relegation zone. Since then Fulham have sacked Claudio Ranieri after the club look destined for relegation.
The win was Southampton’s first since January and ended 4 games with no victories. Away from home the club have just 1 win in their past four matches and have lost 8 of their 14 games on the road.
