England Premier League
Wednesday 26th December 2018
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Old Trafford
Match Preview:
All is well at Manchester United and it seems all it took was to remove Jose Mourinho and bring in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. A perfect example of player power, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wont have had time to make any significant tactical changes, but the players are prepared to work hard for him, at least until the next issue upsets their fragile ego's. United beat Cardiff 5-1 in his first game and there has been all smiles ever since. Solskjaer has some divine luck because for your first two fixtures to be Cardiff and Huddersfield is better than Manchester City and Chelsea two teams that Arsenal Unai Emery had to deal with at the beginning of his tenure.
Still a team are to be beaten but United will be big favourites to do so and should get all three points at Old Trafford. Despite Mourinho’s problems the club did only lose 1 game at home in his charge and they have picked up 11 points from their last 15 available at home.
A win would not progress United in the league in terms of positions but if Arsenal or Chelsea were to slip up then the gap to 4th would be just five points so there is all to play for as we reach the half way stage of the season.
Huddersfield are 19th and have just 10 points, but there is time to stay up and collect points. They have the worst form in the league where they have been defeated five times in a row. The main problem has been converting goals with the club only scoring 11 so far this season which is easily the worst record in the league. Away from home they have just one victory in 8 games which came against Wolves.
