England Premier League
Saturday 19th January 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Old Trafford
Match Preview:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United have won 6 games in a row in all competitions since the Norwegian took charge but last weekend was perhaps the most significant result.
Even though they were completely outplayed against Tottenham, United went to Wembley and came away with a 1-0 win and for some that was Solskjaer’s statement win. With Arsenal losing to West Ham, United have hoovered up that 8 point gap and now have the same points as The Gunners.
United will be big favourites to win this game and if they play half as good as they have been should be able to ease to a victory. With 4th and 5th place playing each other in Arsenal and Chelsea this weekend, United can swoop on them both in what looks to be a very interesting finish to the season for The Red Devils.
Brighton are in 13th place and 15 points behind their hosts. Last weekend they lost 1-0 to Liverpool and they have just 1 win in their past four games. The majority of their points have come at home and their away form is very poor where they have won just 8 points from a possible 33. They have lost 7 games from 11 this season and have scored just 9 goals on the road, only the bottom three clubs have a worse record.
