England Premier League
Sunday 30th December 2018
Kick off at 4.30pm GMT
Venue: Old Trafford
Match Preview:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had an incredible start with Manchester United where he has won his first 2 games as caretaker manager. Not only have United got off to a 100% start with the Norwegian but they are scoring goals again, 8 in their last two games.
Having said that Solskjaer has been fortunate with the fixtures on his arrival but the team are playing for him unlike their previous manager Mourinho, so much so that even Paul Pogba is scoring again and he got a brace in the clubs last game against Huddersfield.
United stay at Old Trafford and play an opponent that lost 5-0 away to Tottenham last weekend. This all means that they will be big odds on to win on Sunday.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last five games at home and have picked up 18 points from the 27 available. The good news for them on Boxing Day was that Arsenal drew meaning that they have closed the gap to just 6 points over them. It is clear that United have not given up a top 4 place even if they remain outsiders.
Bournemouth as aforementioned were destroyed at Tottenham in their last game. They have lost 3 of their last four games and are now 12th in the league. However if they were to get an unlikely win they would be just three points behind United. Recent form has been incredibly poor for Eddie Howe’s team and they come into this game having lost their last 4 games in a row.
