England Premier League
Saturday 10th February 2024
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Kenilworth Road
Match Preview:
This weekend could be huge for Luton because while they play the side in bottom place Everton who are snapping at their heels and could be the team to relegate Luton are playing away to the champions Manchester City. The best case scenario for Rob Edwards side could be stretching their gap to four points. Luton have been in solid form with just one loss from their last five games and they have gone their last 3 games unbeaten after draws against Burnley and Newcastle and a superb 4-0 win over Brighton. Let’s go back to the Newcastle game though and having to play the Magpies away from home it seemed inevitable that Luton would lose. A 4-4 draw was incredible however at the same time that result may have felt like a defeat given that they were leading 4-2. There is no doubt though that Luton have a new lease of life and are up for the fight to stay up. At home will be what determines if they can remain in the top flight, but they have lost six times here and won just 3, but fortunes are changing round and 2 of those victories have come in their last three home games.
Sheffield United lost their 17th game of the season last weekend as they were obliterated by Aston Villa losing 5-0. It really could have been much more given that Villa took a 4-0 lead into the first half. Once we take in goal difference the Blades are 11 points from safety and given that we are in February it is beginning to look inevitable that the club will be relegated and that the returning Chris Wilder has failed to turn the club round. Sheffield United have managed just 1 point from their last five games and are yet to win a game away from home and have lost 9 from 11 played. With just 2 points won on the road they by far have the worst away record in the league.

Luton vs Sheffield Utd Prediction:
It’s becoming easy to back against Sheffield United now and while they shouldn’t be completely written off we don’t see much of a chance for them in what should be a tough away game. They need the points of course but they are a side who look down and dejected. On the flip side Luton has a lot of belief in themselves. The bottom line for any side is that if you are scoring goals you are going in the right direction and this Luton side has put 8 goals combined past quality sides in Brighton and Newcastle. For us this is a Luton win all the way and they need to take advantage when their rival Everton has such a tough game we can’t see Luton blowing this fantastic opportunity.
We will certainly be backing Elijah Adebayo who has recently scored many goals for the home side and is outstanding value to get on the score sheet again considering his team are at home
Luton vs Sheffield Utd Betting Tips:
