England Premier League
Sunday 31st March 2019
Kick off at 4.30pm GMT
Venue: Anfield
Match Preview:
With Manchester City easing past Fulham the onus is back on Liverpool to win this game. City have gone a point clear and there is a lot now riding on this game.
If Liverpool lose they will be a point behind City and have played a game more. A draw is also no good as they would draw level, really they need to win to go 2 points clear again.
While Liverpool will be at home they will be facing a very tough opponent in Tottenham, still The Reds will start as the favourites. Jurgen Klopp’s team have won 3 of their last 4 games and as we almost enter April they have still lost just 1 game this season.
Tottenham will need to do what no team has done at Anfield this season and beat Liverpool. The Londoners are currently going through their worst form of the season where they have lost 3 of their last 4 games and have not won in the league since early February. In the process Manchester United and Arsenal have caught up with them and 3rd place is seriously under threat.
Tottenham do have the 2nd best away record in the league however they have lost their last 3 games in a row. The good news for the club was the announcement of their new stadium which will open officially next week after playing two warm up games for crowd safety. This is huge news for the club who are ushering in a new era. So they will arrive at Liverpool with a feel good factor.
