England Premier League
Wednesday 22nd July 2020
Kick off at 8:15pm BST
Venue: Anfield
Match Preview:
After blowing their chance of beating Man City's points total record, there will be one thing on Liverpool’s mind in this game, and that's keeping their unbeaten run at Anfield. There has also been a delicate rivalry between the clubs for some time and Liverpool will not want to lose this game, expect them to take this one seriously.
Liverpool’s record at home is simply astounding, rarely to be repeated, and they are almost there to go the season unbeaten at home. Near 50 goals have been scored here and the plaudits just keep coming and coming so you can expect a team who have looked a little weary by their standards to give one final push and put in a performance for this game.
Champions League football looks likely but not assured for Chelsea as they head into this tricky fixture. They are a club whose quality bar keeps improving week in and week out and that is due to manager Frank Lampard’s tough mind set when it comes to training and winning. Had this game been taking place at Stamford Bridge Chelsea may well go into it as the favourites.
On the road Chelsea have the 4th best record in the league, although they have unexpectedly lost 2 of their last 3 away games, but they are not to be taken lightly. Especially when coming off a great FA Cup semi final performance this weekend, completely outclassing the in form Man Utd.
Team News:
Liverpool: No new injury concerns.
Chelsea: No new injury concerns.
Liverpool vs Chelsea Head to Head:

Last season Liverpool won this game 2-0.
In the league Chelsea have not won at Liverpool since 2014.
There is an 80% chance to see both teams to score.
Liverpool vs Chelsea Prediction:
It's undeniable that the motivation is which Chelsea, they need a top 4 finish and Champions League qualification. Liverpool's motivation is one of pride, keeping an unbeaten at home record, and beating Chelsea for bragging rights. The Reds won’t go the season unbeaten that was decided some time ago but they can make that a reality at home at least and they will play to their maximum strengths in this game. True they could do with the Kop fans acting as their 12th man but that won’t be a possibility for this game.
Chelsea will pose problems and along with history we should also back both teams to score here, but Liverpool at Anfield should be a decent enough price for the win given the opposition and that will be our main bet here.
Liverpool vs Chelsea Betting Tips:
