Match Preview:
Arsenal put out the lights to the Jurgen Klopp farewell party last weekend as they only became the second team this season to beat Liverpool. The first of course was the Gunners nemesis Tottenham and it will be interesting to see how Klopp’s side react after their 3-1 loss. Liverpool remain top of the league with 51 points but are only two clear of both Manchester City and Arsenal and City has a game in hand. Liverpool have been in superb form up until the Arsenal loss and playing them away Liverpool did not put in a good performance. However they will be expected to win this game with ease and their home form has been excellent so far. At home Liverpool has the best record in the league with 29 points won from 33 and are unbeaten here winning 9 of their 11 games and scoring 30 goals that is the joint best alongside Arsenal and Aston Villa. The Reds also have the best defence at home with just 9 goals conceded. Their last two games at home have ended in emphatic wins scoring 4 goals each against Newcastle and Chelsea.
Burnley are in 19th place and by the time this game is finished they could well be over 40 points behind Liverpool. Taking in goal difference Vincent Kompany’s side are 8 points from safety and it’s looking bleak for the club as they try to survive in the top flight having just returned. The Clarets have managed two draws from their last three games at least with a 1-1 draw at home to Luton and a 2-2 draw also at home to Fulham. In Between that they were beaten 3-1 away to Manchester City. On the road Burnley have actually fared better with 8 of their 13 points coming this way although they have lost seven of their 11 games so far with just two wins. They are almost conceding 2 goals per game on average which is actually not too bad for a club in their position. The problem for Burnley is that even if they pulled off one of the shocks of the season they would still be at least 3 points behind 18th placed Everton and there is much work to do.

Liverpool vs Burnley Head to Head:

The last three meetings have all seen under 2.5 goals.
Liverpool vs Burnley Prediction:
We don’t expect Liverpool to be too fazed to lose away to Arsenal, take out that result and they have been incredibly strong this season and like Manchester City they are more than capable of going the rest of the season unbeaten. They have the quality to win big in this game. Burnley for all of their problems this season have had a decent defence given the squad and that of course has been influenced by their manager who was one of the best defenders in his playing days in the Premier League. We expect Burnley to keep it as tight as possible at the back.
Liverpool should have few problems in the end to win this game and this is a match where they need to put in a professional performance and move on from it, this is all about getting the taste of victory and the three points on the board. The Reds are unbackable for the win so we will look into different markets.
