England Premier League
Sunday 8th November 2020
Kick off at 2pm GMT
Venue: King Power Stadium
Match Preview:
With wins against Arsenal and Leeds we can consider that Leicester have recovered from their wobble when they lost back to back matches against West Ham and Aston Villa, and the club have moved up to 2nd coming into this weekend.
Against Leeds, which was played at Elland Road Brendan Rodgers team had that killer instinct, which served them so well for the majority of last season and Leicester are the type of team that will be a thorn in many clubs sides for not just this season but possibly seasons to come. There is a good structure at the club and veteran striker Jamie Vardy just seems to get better as each seasons passes. He has already scored seven goals.
However at home Leicester have not been performing, they have played just 3 times at the King Power Stadium but lost twice and they are overdue a victory though they will be playing a tricky opponent.
Wolves have been punching above their weight for a good 18 months and last weekend they beat Crystal Palace at home by 2-0. The club are currently on a 4 game unbeaten run and are in sixth place and would pass Leicester with a win here.
Away from home Wolves have already beaten Leeds and Sheffield United and have a 66% win rate on the road though they have only scored 3 goals so far.
Team News:
Leicester: Whilst Leicester have a growing long term injury list with the likes of Ndidi and Jonny Evans out there only new concern is with James Maddison who has a dead leg, although he is being tipped to be fine for this match.
Wolves: Marcal has a knock but is back in training and could be assessed ahead of this match.
Leicester vs Wolves Head to Head:
The last two league meetings between the sides has finished 0-0.
Wolves have not won at Leicester since 2007.
Counting Premier League matches only there is a 75% chance to see under 2.5 goals.
Leicester vs Wolves Prediction:
As far as entertainment goes we expect to see a very good game and end to end stuff where this match could remain in the balance for some time. Wolves have been good away from home but it could be questioned that they haven’t really been tested and their 4-0 loss at West Ham now just looks like a bad day at the office.
Leicester are a sharp team and their indifferent start at home will not continue. They will be very confident after beating an attacking side in Leeds 4-1 and will be going for their 3rd straight win.
The Foxes need this victory to stay in the mix after Southampton’s win yesterday, and though it could be tight we can see the home team coming through once more. Vardy is obviously someone to keep your eye on but for more value Harvey Barnes is emerging as a real threat on goal too for the Foxes and could be better value to back.
Leicester vs Wolves Betting Tips:
