Leicester vs West Ham: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 27th October 2018
Kick off at 5:30pm BST
Venue: King Power Stadium

Match Preview:

Leicester come into this game having lost their last 2 matches, 3-1 against Arsenal and 2-1 against Everton and they are at risk of free falling despite winning 4 games from 9 so far this season.

The Foxes have fallen to 11th place and at home from 4 games they have won 2 and drawn 2. The problem for them is easy, no consistency. They will be looking to stop their losing run when they play West Ham.

And so to West Ham, an enigma wrapped up in an enigma. What other team could start the league with 4 straight losses and then beat Everton away from home, beat Manchester United and draw 0-0 against an undefeated Chelsea? All great and it seemed from then that the Hammers would kick on. But then they underestimated Brighton and lost a narrow game 1-0 and followed that up with another 1-0 loss this time it hurt as it was at home to Tottenham.

Away West Ham have lost 3 games from 4 with their only win coming at Everton. They remain under coach Pellergini a team still in transition and highly unpredictable.

Team News:

Leicester: Demarai Gray should be back for this game after his ankle injury. Wes Morgan is banned from this game following his red card at the beginning of this month

West Ham: Andy Carroll had a setback in training and could be sidelined further until mid November. The big news is that Andriy Yarmolenko is out for between 5-6 months after his achilles injury, which is a major blow for the club

Leicester vs West Ham Head to Head:

Last season West Ham won this game 2-0. This was West Ham’s first win here since 2012.

In the last 8 meetings in the Premier League West Ham have just 2 wins over Leicester.

Leicester vs West Ham Prediction:

This is a difficult away game for West Ham but at the same time Leicester are not playing the best football of their season. Jamie Vardy needs to find more of his threat and touch and it seems if that deserts the team then they have real troubles. West Ham do have the team to win this game, but they have not been convincing enough on the road to back them. We will opt for a very close home win.
