Match Preview:
Leicester will be looking for their first win of the season and they will be the favourites to pick up all 3 points at the weekend when they take on Southampton at home.
The Foxes put up a good fight last weekend but were outclassed by Arsenal losing that game 4-2 and in their opening match of the season they drew 2-2 at home to Brentford. So it hasn’t been a great start by Brendan Rodgers side but they are scoring goals, which is always an encouraging sign. However six conceded already will be a worry for Rodgers also.
Southampton are also looking for their first win as they were hammered 4-1 by Tottenham in their opening game of the campaign and then drew 2-2 at home to Leeds last weekend. That draw was a good one though considering they were trailing 2-0 with under 20 minutes to go. Could that dramatic comeback be a springboard for the Saints? It is possible but at the same time they would rather have stayed at home one suspects. Like their opponents they have been shipping too many goals, so defence will be a concern. With a win either side could pop into the top 10 even for only a few hours and certainly at this early stage of the season both clubs will be going all out for the win.
Team News:
Leicester: Harvey Barnes knee injury was thought to be not too serious but the player now has no fixed return date even though initially he was being pencilled in to return by the end of the month. Ryan Bertrand has been out for an extended time with his knee and he will be missing again but could be back in 10 days time. Ricardo Pereira is out long term and won’t be back this year with an Achilles injury.
Southampton: Theo Walcott is out with a muscle injury with no fixed return date. Valentino Livramento is out long term and not scheduled to be back this year with a knee injury.

Leicester vs Southampton Prediction:
Of course any one that follows the Premier League will be reminded of the 9-0 drubbing Leicester gave Southampton 3 years ago and the Foxes have been able to score quite a few goals against the Saints since then. Certainly recent results have favoured Leicester.
Leicester scored 6 goals past Southampton alone last season and the usual suspects were on the score sheet in Jamie Vardy who is waiting to register his first goal of the season and James Maddison. Maddison has started the campaign off well and he will be getting into situations to score more goals, and he does like scoring against Southampton.
The Saints won’t roll over and perhaps there are goals in this team, certainly there is for the home side and a recent pattern has seen both teams to score so we will take this on once more given that both sides have had leaky defences so far. We will back the home side to get the win though, everything points to them doing so and Vardy and Maddison will be as ever dangerous. The prices are fairly open for this game so there is a lot of value to be had also.
