Leicester vs Norwich: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 14th December 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: King Power Stadium

Match Preview:

Is it fair to say that the Premier League has now turned into a two horse race? We know all about Liverpool and their dominance but the other team who seem to have emerged and look ready to take them on are Leicester.

The Foxes are 8 points behind Liverpool and they will have to keep on winning games in order to keep pace - the two teams are meeting each other soon and what a game that promises to be. Leicester are also 6 points in front of Manchester City, at this stage of the season not many people would have predicted that.

Leicester have won 27 points from their last 30 which is an incredible run, compare that to their opponents who have won 5 points in the same period. Brendan Rodgers last match ended in a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa and striker Jamie Vardy is on fire and is the leading goalscorer in the league. At home the Foxes have won 7 games and drawn 1 and along with Liverpool remain the only two teams still unbeaten at home.

Whichever way you look at it this is going to be a hard game for Norwich and it seems highly unlikely that they will come away here with any points. Norwich are 19th and 4 points from safety, they come into this game without any wins from their last 3 games and their last match ended in a 2-1 defeat against Sheffield United.

Team News:

Leicester: The Foxes have no new injuries coming into this game

Norwich: Grant Hanley is still out with a groin injury but is being pencilled in to return over the Christmas games

Leicester vs Norwich Head to Head:

The teams have not played here since 2016 when Leicester won 1-0.

Leicester have won the last 3 meetings in a row.

4 from the last 5 meetings has seen both teams to score.

Leicester vs Norwich Prediction:

Surely this will be another 3 points for Leicester who are on a title winning run of form. The gulf in quality, set up and confidence between the teams is massive. Also Norwich have the worst away record in the league with 1 win. The only team who can take points from Leicester is themselves with an off disjointed day, and we simply don’t see that happening. This should be a breeze for the club and we expect Leicester have 3 or more goals in them. Norwich will try and park the bus and frustrate their opponents but they won’t be able to keep this rampant Leicester side at bay.

Leicester vs Norwich Betting Tips:

Half time/full time (Leicester/Leicester) at 1.72

Leicester to score 3+ goals at 1.80

Anytime goalscorer Jamie Vardy at 1.50
