Leicester vs Fulham: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League
Tuesday 3rd January 2023
Kick off at 7:45pm GMT
Venue: King Power Stadium

Match Preview:

Leicester will be looking to get back on track after losing their last two games. They have had some difficult fixtures in having to play Liverpool and Newcastle and this game at home to Fulham could look a winnable one on paper. However Fulham have started the season strongly and this won’t be an easy game for the Foxes.

Brendan Rodgers side had found form up until their last two games and that means that they are in 13th place after a slow start however they are only three points from the bottom three. At the end of the year Leicester lost 2-1 to Liverpool with both of the Reds goals scored by recent new defender Wout Faes, so he will want to make amends there and being at home could well be the perfect tonic for the former Ligue 1 defender. Home form has seen Leicester lose 50% of their games which includes their last two and they have scored just 9 goals so far yet also conceded 9.

Fulham are in 8th place and are having a very positive season so far, they have won two games in a row coming into this game and their last match ended in a 2-1 victory over Southampton. A win would see them move past Brentford and a possible European finish could well be on the cards. On the road the Cottagers have lost 50% of their games however their home form has improved with 3 wins from their last five.

Team News:

Leicester: Dennis Praet is out with a rib injury and not due back for another two weeks. James Maddison is out with a knee injury with no fixed return date. Patson Daka has a knock and is only 50/50 to return for this game, Ricardo Pereira is a month away from his return due to an Achilles injury.

Fulham: There are no new additional injuries for the Cottagers ahead of this game.

Leicester vs Fulham Head to Head:

The last time the teams played here was in 202 and Fulham won 2-1.

Seven of the last 8 meetings has seen both teams to score.

There is a 60% chance to see over 2.5 goals.

Leicester vs Fulham Prediction:

This game will be about bouncing back for the Foxes but they are up against a dangerous team who are in form. History says this is a fixture loaded with goals and with the form and attitude of both sides coming into this game we think that this will be similar. Both teams to score should be a given but there will be some pressure on Rodgers and his team here to try and find their form again. The worry is that early season form could return and they could easily get sucked into a relegation battle.

There is a risk backing the away side in the Premier League but Fulham are playing good football and are scoring goals and let’s not forget they won here last time out. We expect a close but entertaining game and perhaps the value is on the Cottagers to win this one.

Leicester vs Fulham Betting Tips:
