Leicester vs Bournemouth: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 30th March 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: King Power Stadium

Match Preview:

At Leicester there is a feel good factor right now with the arrival of Brendan Rodgers and the ex Celtic manager has overseen 2 wins from 3 games as The Foxes have climbed up to 10th place. They are now just three points behind Wolves for 7th and a best of the rest finish.

Leicester have 3 wins from their last 4 games and at home they have won back to back matches coming into this game. Though they have won just 6 games at home this season, if we look just at recent form they will be the favourties to win this match.

Bournemouth could join Leicester on the same points but their woeful goal difference would mean that they cannot leapfrog them this weekend at least. The club have just one win in the last month and that was against Huddersfield and their last game ended in a draw against Newcastle finishing 2-2.

Eddie Howe’s team are safe this season, but they will want to improve their away record in the league which is poor. They have lost 11 of their 15 games although they did win their last game on the road which was the aforementioned Huddersfield match.

Team News:

Leicester: Harry Maguire is suspended for this game after being sent off v Burnley. Other than Maguire’s loss there are no new fresh injury worries

Bournemouth: Dan Gosling will be assessed after his knee injury earlier in the month and could be included in the squad. Junior Stanislas is fighting to be fit after his thigh injury and will be assessed. Andrew Surman has a calf injury and it has been reported that the player could miss the rest of the season

Leicester vs Bournemouth Head to Head:

Bournemouth won 4-2 in the earlier reverse fixture.

Last season the teams drew 1-1 in this fixture.

Leicester have not beaten Bournemouth since 2014 going back 8 games.

Leicester vs Bournemouth Prediction:

Leicester are in a good place but Rodgers would not have wanted an international break to come at the time it did. There isn’t much between the sides and it is worth nothing that Leicester do not have a great record over Bournemouth. Eddie Howe’s team have lost too many games away from home and Leicester will be a tough game for them, our bet here is to go with the home side and it’s difficult not to back Jamie Vardy once again to get on the scoresheet. He has lined the pockets of many a punter for the past few seasons and this game could be set up for him.

Leicester vs Bournemouth Betting Tips:

Leicester to beat Bournemouth at 1.80

Anytime goalscorer: Jamie Vardy at 1.91
