Leicester vs Atl Madrid Betting Tip Preview:This is a very interesting game as Leicester are back playing to their strengths again but they are up against Champions League specialists Atl Madrid. Leicester will once again be hoping to overturn a 1 goal deficit as they did against Sevilla in the previous round, the problem is Atl Madrid are experts at doing just enough to get through in two leg ties. Three times this season Atl Madrid have won the two leg tie based on their 1st leg performance. In the Copa del Rey 1/8 finals they beat Las Palmas 2-0 away from home in the 1st leg, before losing 3-2 at Estadio Vicente Calderón in the 2nd leg, but that loss didn't matter as they progressed anyway. Then in the quarter finals they beat Eibar 3-0 at home in the first leg, before drawing 2-2 away from home in the 2nd leg, once again progressing to the next round. And finally, in the Champions League 1/8 finals they beat Leverkusen 4-2 away from home in the first leg, before settling for a 0-0 draw at home in the second leg to once again progress in a cup competition. My point here is that Atl Madrid appear to be the kind of team who's focus is progressing, and they don't seem to care whether they win in order to do that. Therefore with Atl Madrid having a 1-0 lead going into this 2nd leg at King Power Stadium, a draw will be enough to put them through, or even a loss by a 1 goal margin as long as Atl Madrid get on the score sheet. Therefore with Leicester having home advantage, all the incentive being on their shoulders to attack, and with Atl Madrid not requiring a win to progress, a "+1.5 asian handicap" in Leicester's favour should be a safe selection even though Atl Madrid are the better team on paper.
Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich Betting Tip Preview:This is another interesting game, which is finely poised at 2-1 in Real Madrid's favour, and it's that 1st leg scoreline which has made me choose this particular "1st half asian total - Over 1" selection. The reason being is that we all know how much attacking talent Bayerm Munich have in the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben and co, and we can now combine that with them requiring at least 2 goals in this game to stand any chance of progression as Real Madrid have the 2 away goals. Therefore Bayern have to attack hard from the outset, which surely must either result in a bayern goal in the first half or a Real Madrid goal from the counter in the first half, which would instantly make the selection safe. Back in 2014 there was a similar situation, Real Madrid had beaten Bayern 1-0 at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in the first leg of their Champions League semi final tie, and many thought Bayern would turn things around in the second leg at Allianz Arena, however Bayern were on the end of a 4-0 counter attacking masterclass from Real who scored 3 goals in the first half. When teams have to attack, that leaves gaps at the back, and 1 or more goals in the first half should therefore be very likely with the amount of attacking talent on display tonight.
