England Premier League
Sunday 28th April 2019
Kick off at 12noon BST
Venue: King Power Stadium
Match Preview:
Sunday’s batch of Premier League games kicks off with an interesting match up where Brendan Rodgers return to England will be pitched against Unai Emery’s Arsenal.
Leicester have been brilliant under Rodgers as they try and finish as high as possible although in the last couple of weeks their winning run has come to an end. First they put in a toothless display at home to Newcastle to lose 1-0. And then they drew 2-2 against West Ham.
The Foxes are in 10th place and 6 points behind Wolves in 7th. They have lost 1 home game in the past four.
Arsenal have had a massive wobble at exactly the wrong time as The Gunners aim to finish in a top 4 place. Is their Europa League semi-final with Valencia playing on the teams minds or has their level simply dropped? They come to the King Power Stadium having lost back to back games against Crystal Palace and Wolves. What must be worrying for Emery is that his team have conceded 6 goals in those two losses. The Gunners are on poor form and would be 13th on form alone.
Playing away from home was a massive problem for the club last season under Arsene Wenger’s final command and they have lost 7 games this season on the road with just 1 win in their past five matches.
Team News:
Leicester: The Foxes have no new injuries coming into this game
Arsenal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has a minor face injury which forced him to miss the game v Wolves. He should be back for this match but may start from the bench. Aaron Ramsey is out for another two weeks at least with his hamstring. Denis Suarez has been ruled out with his groin
