The big news for Huddersfield was manager David Wagner leaving his role by mutual consent. The German coach has been under extreme pressure to keep the club up after a dismal start to the Premier League campaign.
It was reported that the club had gone for Sam Allardyce ‘the manager that always keeps clubs up’. However even Allardyce has declined the offer, saying that the team are in too much trouble.
So Huddersfield arrive at this stage in an awkward way and this cannot be easy for the players. The club are rock bottom and 8 points from safety and have to face the champions Manchester City. They have picked up just 1 point from their last 15 and at home they have scored just 5 goals all season and have one win.
Manchester City must keep up the pressure on Liverpool, and should be able to win this game with ease. Although they have lost 2 of their last 3 away games which raised eyebrows. Pep Guardiola’s side look fresh now after their blip in December and look back on track to go on a winning run.
City are scoring almost 2 goals a game on the road and their last away match ended in a 3-1 win at Southampton. If they were to drop points here it would be seen as one of the shocks of the season.

It’s impossible to go against City, who have everything going for them. Possibly had Huddersfield been able to draft in an experience manager for this game, we could have seen the Southampton situation and how they beat Arsenal. This is very different and the team and their plans are up in the air against one of the best sides in Europe.
Huddersfield may have to go the physical way, but should be outclassed and City should be able to ease to victory with few problems. As expected City are massive odds on to win which does not offer any value to us so we will look into different markets. One of those will be the goalscorer where Sergio Aguero will be worth backing- the Argentinian scored a hat trick against Huddersfield earlier in the season.
