Celta Vigo v Manchester Utd (4th May 2017)
Both these clubs would love to win the Europa League, as qualification to next years Champions League is then guaranteed. Celta have let their league form drop, as they prioritise this cup competition. Capable of scoring home and away, I make them slight favourites over the 2 legs. With the 1st leg at Estadio de BalaÃdos, Celta will be looking to win the leg outright, and will be going all out for the win. Mourinho must have one eye on Sunday’s Premier League game against old rival Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Lady Luck has deserted Utd at the most pivotal point of the season, away in Spain, and then away at the Emirates, all in the space of 3 days. Then home against Celta next week followed by an away match against Spurs the following Sunday, the games just keep coming. Add
a growing injury list, and some tired players, and you have a perfect storm? It's make or break for Mourinho, and with the pressure of the Utd job, we'll find out very soon, if he's still “The Special Oneâ€. Back Celta to win and BTTS at 13/2
Score prediction: Celta to win 2-1 (Odds 11/1)
West Ham v Tottenham (5th May 2017)
Exactly why this game is being played on Friday night is beyond me, after
Sky scrapped Friday night premier league games. Anyway, after Spurs left Arsenal second best in every department last Sunday, expect more of the same against the Hammers. West Ham have clearly struggled at their new stadium, the Olympic stadium. They concede too many goals, and don't score enough, and a top striker is desperately needed, with Daniel Sturridge being linked. Drawing their last 2 league games 0-0, they'll find Spurs don't do goalless draws. Deli Ali loves playing away, as he scores more on the road, and I feel he'll score here. Back Spurs to win to nil at 6/4, and Deli Ali to score and Spurs to win at 37/20.
Score prediction: Tottenham to win 3-0 (Odds 10/1)
Hull v Sunderland (6th May 2017)
Hull put up a great performance against Southampton last week, managing to scrape a goalless draw at St.Mary's staduim. Since the new year, they've won 8 and drawn 1 at home in all competitions. They are a totally different animal at the KC stadium, as most premier league teams are finding out. New head coach Marco Silva has kept up their home form, and they still have a chance of avoiding relegation. Sunderland have now been relegated, and will struggle to make a game of this fixture.
David Moyes hasn't been able to motivate the team, unlike his predecessor Sam Allardyce. Their away form is terrible, not scoring in 7 out of their last 10 games, winning just once and losing 9. Expect Hull to keep a clean sheet against Sunderland as they bank another 3 points. Back Hull to win to nil at 5/4.
Score prediction: Hull to win 2-0 (Odds 6/1)
Arsenal v Manchester Utd (7th May 2017)
If Wenger believes Arsenal are still a top 4 team, then he didn't watch them against their biggest rivals spurs. Even by Arsenal's normal standards, they were clearly second best. Hugo Lloris had such a quiet game, and the spurs defence was never really troubled. With 7 days rest, Arsenal should be up for this game, especially as Man Utd played in Spain on Thursday. Man Utd will still believe they can win this game, injuries aside, they've still got some good players with plenty of experience. Mourinho's rivalry with Wenger goes back to his 1st stint as Chelsea manager. A draw doesn't help either team, and Utd maybe leg weary after such a long season. Back Arsenal to win at 10/11.
Score prediction: Arsenal to win 2-0 (Odds 10/1)
