Fulham vs Wolves: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League
Monday 27th November 2023
Kick off at 8pm GMT
Venue: Craven Cottage

Match Preview:

Fulham’s form coming into this game is not anything to get excited about and on that form alone they would be in the bottom four with just 1 point earned from their last four games. Marco Silva’s side come into this Monday evening game in 15th place and with 12 points they are seven clear of the bottom three. They have lost their last two games with defeats against Manchester United and Aston Villa and the United defeat was also their last at home although it was only a narrow 1-0 defeat. Home and away form has brought in equal points six each and currently the Cottagers are on a trend of loss win loss at home, they are due a win through this pattern. Of course an evening game at home usually favours the home side and victory here would propel the club up one place; anything more will not be possible due to goal difference.

Wolves are in 12th with 15 points and a win here would see them go past Chelsea and into 10th place. The beginning of the campaign was poor for the club but they have improved since then and the last month has been encouraging. They have lost just once in their last five games although that was unexpected and came against lowly Sheffield United. However the club bounced back in style by beating Tottenham 2-1 at home. On the road so far they have picked up seven points from a possible 18 and whilst they do not have the worst away record in the league the club have lost 50% of their games played.

Fulham vs Wolves Prediction:

This game looks like it will be a close one, recent history has just the odd goal in it being the difference and looking at both clubs form it is possible we could see a cautious game. Both teams have played good football at times though so far and that means that we may see a good free flowing game with chances for both sides. Fulham have struggled to beat Wolves over the years but the visitors come into this one with some injury doubts and their away form will be under scrutiny.

There isn’t much in this game but we will go for Fulham to just get past the line in a tight contest. Fulham have struggled to score goals against Wolves lately but that doesn’t mean it can’t change on Monday evening but it is still advisable to back the under goal market.
