Fulham vs West Ham: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League
Sunday 10th December 2023
Kick off at 2pm GMT
Venue: Craven Cottage

Match Preview:

It’s another London derby for West Ham, two on the spin as they travel to Fulham on Sunday and they will be in good spirits after a good recent run of results. As for Fulham the last time they played here a few days ago they put 5, yes FIVE goals past hapless Nottingham Forest and Marco Silva’s side are in 12th place with 18 points. The Cottagers have done decent at home with four wins from seven games but have lost three times here as they haven’t drawn any matches yet. The club have won their last two at home as they have also beaten Wolves here and have scored 8 goals in their past two home games. Depending on other results Fulham could move up two places and into 10th place if they were to win this one.

West Ham are up into 9th place with 24 points and now have Brighton and Newcastle in their sights. It’s been a good month for the club who have gone their last four games unbeaten and have won 3 from their last four. In midweek David Moyes' side pulled off a superb result against a quality side in Tottenham, they were trailing in that game but came back to win 2-1. Indeed the Hammers have the fifth best away record so far having won 13 points from a possible 21. They have won their last two in a row although previous to that had lost 3 in a row on their trips. The club's only blemish lately was drawing at home to Crystal Palace but for now there has been much to cheer about for the Londoners who have turned a corner.

Team News:

Fulham: Rodrigo Muniz could return for this game after fitness issues; it is the same situation for Adama Traore. Tyrese Francois and Issa Diop are both missing with respective knock and foot injuries.

West Ham: Alphonse Areola will be assessed for a wrist injury, Michail Antonio is recovering from a knee injury and this game looks like it may have come too soon for him but he could be assessed.

Fulham vs West Ham Head to Head:

Last season West Ham won this fixture 1-0.

West Ham have won 5 of the last six meetings over Fulham.

There is a 60% chance to see over 2.5 goals.

There has only been one 0-0 scoreline since 2006.

Fulham vs West Ham Prediction:

We expect to see a good and at times fiery London derby. Fulham have a decent recent home record and it is the same case but in reverse for West Ham. There will be confidence coming into this game by both sets of teams. History says the Hammers and this is a fixture they have dominated in recent years although the scores have been fairly close. Fulham won’t get an easy ride like they did when they played Nottingham Forest and putting five goals past them without reply. It could become a physical game, derby games usually are and in the card market could be worth backing. In West Ham’s last game with Tottenham we witnessed 6 yellow cards issued.

The Hammers are scoring goals and keep an eye on Jarrod Bowen who is a superb price to score. Fulham will play their part and there is just enough evidence to witness 3 goals or more. We can’t see one match Fulham scoring five and not being able to score here, so keep that in mind also, but we think West Ham have enough here to squeeze through with all three points.

Fulham vs West Ham Betting Tips:

West Ham to beat Fulham at 2.75

Anytime goalscorer: Jarrod Bowen at 3.25

Anytime goalscorer: Raul Jimenez at 3.25

Both teams to score at 1.66
