Match Preview:
Fulham have showed some steel about them over the past month and they were close to claiming their sixth draw in a row against derby rivals Chelsea at the weekend. However Chelsea found a way and won the game 1-0. Now Fulham have no rest as they take on the league leaders and clearly they will not be expected to walk away with any points in midweek.
The Cottagers are in a relegation battle and are in 18th place with 12 points, the gap to 17th is four points. Fulham have won just once so far this season at home from 9 games and lost 5 of those. They have also only scored six goals at Craven Cottage and whilst they have improved in defence it’s usually goals that will keep you up.
Manchester United kept their unbeaten away record as they drew 0-0 against Liverpool in a huge top of the table clash at the weekend. It was a game that was pretty even in the end and perhaps both sides were a little scared to lose the game. Overall United had to be the happier of the two sides and took a point away from home at a ground where most clubs lose.
The important fact is that Manchester United are top of the league, although if City and Leicester have won their games before this match they won’t be, however a win in London would confirm United are back on top what ever happens.
The Red Devils have picked up 11 points from their last 15 and are undefeated in over 2 months in the league. They also have the best away record winning an incredible 23 points from a possible 27 so far with no defeats. However 2 of their last 3 games on the road have ended in draws.

Fulham: Tom Cairney has a knee issue and looks set to miss this game. Terence Kongolo could return after a minor knock. Mario Lemina has an unspecified problem but could be assessed. Antonee Robinson is suspended for 3 matches.
Manchester United: Marcos Rojo is near to a return but has to build his fitness up but United come into this game with no major injury concerns.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team just have this belief about them presently and it may not last but at the same time going away to Liverpool and getting a draw and keeping a clean sheet will only add to the clubs confidence. Fulham are a proud team and we don’t expect them to get rolled over here, on paper they could, but in reality a professional and solid victory for United looks on the horizon.
