England Premier League
Sunday 12th March 2023
Kick off at 2pm GMT
Venue: Craven Cottage
Match Preview:
Fulham have continued to impress this season and not many would have believed that come March that the Cottagers would be rocking up in 7th place. Marco Silva has done a tremendous job so far although in their last game they did lose 3-2 away to Brentford, but the bottom line is that there are goals in this Fulham side and who would bet against them making Europe this season?
Form has seen Fulham take 17 points from their last 30 and collectively they have remained consistent so far. At home it’s just one defeat this year and 3 for this season and from 13 games they have been able to win six. Their most impressive result at home this year was beating neighbours and a superior side on paper in Chelsea and with 21 goals scored at home they would rank as the seventh best in that field.
Arsenal are gunning for their first league title in 19 years and come into this weekend 5 points clear of 2nd placed Manchester City. City may have cut that down to 2 points if they win on Saturday but what is important for the Gunners is simply keeping their consistency and winning games. Since losing to Manchester City which was only Arsenal’s third loss of the season they have won 4 in a row and scored 12 goals and for now they look set to win the league title. On the road Arsenal have the best record with 31 points won from 39 and they have won their last two games beating Aston Villa and Leicester.

Fulham vs Arsenal Prediction:
Another big game for the champions-elect and history is right with Arsenal to win this one, but so is form and even though some injuries are creeping up on Mikel Arteta’s side we expect that they can find a way and dig deep and win this game.
Fulham will have plenty of chances and they haven’t lost many games this season and will want to bounce back after losing their last game but it’s diffcult to feel confident that they have what it takes to win this game, of course they cannot be ruled out. European qualificiation has to be Silva’s objective after a sterling season and in fairness losing this game will not stop that project, whoever scores first will be the most important aspect of this game. Arsenal did have to play in midweek in the Europa League where they drew 2-2 away to Sporting but it’s been 3 days since that game and we expect the squad to be fully recovered and get a routine win.
