This could lead to the gap being reduced to just 5 points with just 5 games left to play assuming PSV can win tonight, which would still leave them with a very difficult task, however they would no doubt still be happy with a top two finish as that would give them Champions League football next season. The main reason for PSV's improved form is their recent potency in front of goal. In their last 10 league games, PSV have scored a total of 27 goals, yet in the 10 league prior to that they only managed to score 12 goals, so they are starting to look more like the team who were so dangerous last season. Their opponents tonight (FC Twente) have lost their way a bit lately, recording wins against lower positioned teams like Roda and Willem II, before losing at home to bottom of the league G.A. Eagles last time out. They are currently fighting for a Europa League Play-off position, so have some good incentive for this match, and they also have a goal scorer in Enes Unal, however beyond him their attacking threat is rather limited. This won't be an easy game for PSV, but with the game being a must win for them, and their strong run of form, there is a good chance they can pick up all 3 points tonight.
