England Premier League

Kick off at 5:30pm GMT
Venue: Goodison Park
Match Preview:
For Frank Lampard it depends how you see a half glass of water, is it only half full or half empty? From 4 games managed he has won two and lost two but the one’s Everton have been victorious in have been at home. That’s all well and good with the Toffees returning home, the catch? They are playing the champions of England and currently the team in 1st place.
Everton will absolutely be the under dogs to win this one but they have shown heart and zip in their last two homes game which witnessed 7 goals as they knocked Brentford out of the FA Cup and beat Leeds 3-0 but this is a whole different level. The worry for the club has been away form with defeats against Newcastle and last weekend losing 2-0 at Southampton. It felt predictable before the game that this could happen and Everton really need to get their act together.
The Toffees have a hard run in and some of the bottom three teams are putting together wins that perhaps not many people would have expected and there is a real threat that Burnley could take Everton’s place by Saturday evening. At home Everton have won 5 but also lost 5 and recent home form has seen the club lose two of their last three but under Lampard so far the club are unbeaten at home, of course it is very early days.
There was shock and horror at the Etihad last weekend as Manchester City lost only their 2nd game at home and their first since October when Tottenham stunned them in a last ditch 3-2 victory. That result has let in Liverpool and the gap is down to just 3 points now. Because of the Carabao Cup final Liverpool do not play this weekend and psychologically at least City will feel great with a win here and going into March would be six points clear.
Despite the recent loss City’s form has been superb and they have won 25 points from their last 10 games. Away from home look no further at the best team in the Premier League with just 1 defeat they have won 32 points from a possible 36 on offer. They have conceded just 8 goals on their travels the best record alongside Chelsea.

There are no new injuries for the club but some players are missing until at least next month including Ben Godfrey and Fabian Delph. Abdoulaye Doucoure has a groin injury but could make the team and will be assessed.Yerry Mina is out for up to six weeks with a thigh injury.
Manchester City: Cole Palmer is the only injury concern for the club as he has an on going muscle injury.
Everton vs Man City Head to Head:

Everton vs Man City Prediction:
This isn’t the game Everton need now after losing against Southampton and there is a real worry that with this game and some very difficult fixtures coming up that the club could be looking at a real relegation battle. There are positives of course and the team will be passionate and play with commitment at home, the fans will certainly be the 12th man on the pitch too. But how many people can see City losing back to back games?
Instead they could well be a wounded animal knowing how important this game is to them. Everton will have chances and Lampard knows City after his time playing with them, but the away side should have too much for Everton in this game, the best scenario for the home side will be keeping it 0-0 as long as they can. A tough fixture at the wrong time.
Watch out for Bernardo Silva, he may not be on everyone’s mind to score in this game but he seems to score quite a few against Everton and is a very good price to do so again.
Everton vs Man City Betting Tips:
Half Time: Correct Score: 0-0 or 1-0 to Manchester City at 3.75 and 3.25
Anytime goalscorer: Bernardo Silva at 3.00
Both teams to score at 1.91
