Everton vs Brighton: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 3rd November 2018
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Goodison Park

Match Preview:

The defeat at Manchester United last weekend ended a 3 game winning run for the Toffee Men but all were united in the belief that Everton had played a very decent game at Old Trafford and were unlucky not to get at least a point.

The good news for Everton is that the team have remained upbeat under the leadership of Marco Silva and will be favourites to get all three points when they return back to Goodison Park to take on Brighton.

Everton have lost just 1 game so far at home and have won their last two games here scoring 5 goals without conceding which has been significant. Those victories came against Fulham and Crystal Palace two teams who are in general on similar levels to Brighton.

Brighton are in the best form of their season so far and come into this game having won 3 games in a row. They have beaten some quality too in West Ham, Newcastle and Wolves. They could leapfrog Everton with a win and so their motivation to do well will be huge for this game.

However only 4 points have been won on their travels from the 14 point total that they have so far and Chris Hughton’s side have only won 1 game so far on the road. This includes losing 3 of their last five games.

Team News:

Everton: No new injuries ahead of this game

Brighton: Davy Propper is ruled out of this game with an ankle injury and won’t return to the team until after the international break

Everton vs Brighton Head to Head:

Last season this game ended 1-1.

There have only been two recent games between the clubs. With one ending 1-1 and then when Everton were at home they won 2-0.

In both matches the highest scoring half occurred in the 2nd half.

Everton vs Brighton Prediction:

Everton the whole way here. The club will not have been fazed by their loss at Man Utd. Manager Silva has a full team to pick from and Everton will have many attacking opportunities. They will have the ball for the majority of the time and the club have been playing so well it would feel like a genuine shock for Brighton to get any points in this game. Everton have stepped up a level in recent weeks, this is the last game before the break and they won’t be taking backwards steps.

Everton vs Brighton Betting Tips:
