England Premier League
Sunday 7th April 2019
Kick off at 2:05pm BST
Venue: Goodison Park
Match Preview:
Two teams in very good form will meet on Sunday afternoon when Everton take on Arsenal at Goodison Park.
Everton have won two games in a row after wins over Chelsea and West Ham, and though Marco Silva’s team are 10th they are only 4 points from 7th place. It is has been a great moment for Everton and Silva given that the team had at times underperformed and there was genuine pressure on Silva’s job, despite still only having less than a season to try and build a squad and a new style of play. All of that seemed to change in March though, when the club first took two points from bitter rivals Liverpool as they drew 0-0. The club have found good form at the right time, however their home form is still questionable as they have only 1 win from their last 3.
Arsenal have not lost a game since the beginning of February when losing away to Manchester City, and their form has been amongst the best in the league picking up 13 points from the last 15 available.
The Gunners are in 4th place and one point behind Tottenham but they do have a game in hand and are favourites to finish in the top three.
Away from home Arsenal’s record is average, with 5 wins and 5 losses. They have gone unbeaten on the road in their last two games. Their last away game ended in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
