As the EPL 2019/2020 season came to a close, fans can already focus on next season's action with the interruption of the Coronavirus pandemic. The reigning, defending champions Liverpool aren't the favourite team and new arrivals Leeds United aren't expected to fight for relegation. With some surprising predictions on the horizon, let's take a closer look at the bookmaker's odds.

New Arrivals Leeds United, West Brom & Fulham

Leeds United to win the league @ 200/1

Fulham to win the league @ 500/1

West Brom to win the league @ 1000/1

Leeds United are the front-runners from the new arrivals who are most likely to remain in the Premier League next season

Marcelo Bielsa had an ultra-impressive beginning at Leeds, taking them to the playoffs during his first season and then capturing the Championship title this season, but what about next season? Bielsa will need to bring forward his best managerial efforts while competing in the most talent-rich division in the world.

Playoff winners Fulham and 2nd place finishers West Brom aren't expected to have the same success during their next

Liverpool Expected to Surrender the Title

Manchester City to win the league @ 8/11 1.73

Liverpool to win the league @ 15/8

With such a dominant season in the back pocket for Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side you'd expect the bookmaker to show the reigning champions more respect by making them the favourites to defend their crown. Well, I'd lower your expectations with the always growing squad of Manchester City.

The reality for Liverpool is their form heading towards the back end of last season, and it became evident that Liverpool struggled to keep up with the likes of Manchester City and even Manchester United too. If this is a sign of form to come, It could be a worrying season for the defending EPL champions.

Don't Neglect the Dark Horses

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is, and his Manchester United squad remain undefeated in domestic competition since the coronavirus pandemic break during the 19/20 season. With the transfer window in full swing and the most historic club in the EPL wanting their glory back, it would be foolish to count out 'The Red Devils'. The late-season comeback could be a sign of things to come, and with the trophy accomplishments of Ole Gunnar's career at the club, he's a valuable asset to the squad he's quickly building.

Manchester United to win the league @ 12/1

Similar praise could be said for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, the results at the North London club switched dramatically since his arrival. And given another season to establish his squad, I wouldn't be surprised to see Arsenal re-claim their top-four status this season.

Arsenal to win the league @ 40/1

London Standing Strong

Another active manager in the transfer window is Chelsea manager Frank Lampard. His London squad has forged a fearsome attack force, where the back four has a lot to be desired.

Once a team well known for their defensive structure, Lampard is now looking to rebuild his squad with the attacking force as the forefront. Chelsea's star signing Timo Werner has landed himself as a favourite for next season's top goal scorer – although more defensive moves will be needed if Chelsea is to stand a chance of winning the EPL title next term.

Chelsea to win the league @ 12/1

Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur are a team hunting for a better position next season. Still, with a rebuilding process underway, we shouldn't expect a title run from Spurs next season.
