Liverpool vs Bournemouth Preview:
Liverpool will be looking to defend a league title for the first time in 42 years. The Reds look in good shape after spending a quarter of a billion pounds. Florian Wirtz should catch the eye and Hugo Ekitike up front has already scored for Arne Slot's side. Liverpool are fresh though from losing out to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
Bournemouth have been quiet on the transfer front so far with their biggest spending coming on a goalkeeper, Dodric Petrovic for £25m. This is the clubs fourth consecutive season in the Premier League.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle Preview:
This could well be the clash of the day given how both sides played out last season and both will be expected to fill European slots in this campaign. Aston Villa so far have been able to keep the bulk of their squad but haven't spent much and so far they have concentrated their strengths in defence.
Newcastle have an ongoing saga with star man Alexander Isak who is pushing for a Liverpool move. The Magpies have spent £90m so far and that includes the capture of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for £55m.

Brighton vs Fulham Preview:
While Brighton have lost João Pedro to Chelsea they have been busy in the transfer market and have spent upwards of £70m. Most notable captures are Charalampos Kostulas from Olympiakos and Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge.
Fulham have been almost non existent in the transfer market and have been more busy unloading their huge squad and ending contracts. They have only spent £500,000 on one player so far, the goalkeeper from Montpellier, Benjamin Lecomte.

Sunderland vs West Ham Preview:
The Black Cats are back in the Premier League for the first time in 8 years and will want to make their mark early. Jobe Bellingham has been sold to Borussia Dortmund however the club have spent close to £150m bringing in new talent. This includes former Arsenal player Granit Xhaka and a £30m fee was paid for midfielder Habib Diarra.
West Ham's biggest transfer has gone on defender Jean-Clair Tobido for £30m. The club were also able to get Callum Wilson on a free from Newcastle.

Tottenham vs Burnley Preview:
The big news for Tottenham was the sale of Heung Min Son to the MLS for £20m. The Europa League winners have though spent well over £100m so far and that includes bringing in Mohamed Kudus for £55m from rivals West Ham. Thomas Franks side begin their campaign after being pegged back by PSG in the Super Cup and finally losing on penalties.
Burnley are back in the top flight after being relegated two seasons ago. They have managed to offload £35m of talent and spent £100m in the process. Most eye catching buys have been Chelsea's Lesley Ugochukwu for £23m and Armando Broja for £10m.

Wolves vs Man City Preview:
Wolves raised almost £100m this summer with the sales of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United and Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City. Half of that has gone on transfers in including Fer Lopez and Larsen both from Celta Vigo, the focus has certainly been on defence.
Manchester City have won 3 of the last four league titles and will be looking to bounce back after last seasons disappointments. Pep Guardiola's side along with capturing Ait-Nouri have spent £155m and also brought in Tijjani Reijnders from Milan and Rayan Cherki from Lyon.

It was a hit and miss season for Chelsea last term but in the summer they won the inaugural FIFA World Club Cup and attention has turned to the Blues, can they win this seasons Premier League? Chelsea have spent almost £300m but it's important to note they have offloaded £200m of talent. Liam Delap has moved from Ipswich for £30m, Estevao may be an exciting Brazilian for £29m.
Crystal Palace are fresh from winning the FA Cup and beat Liverpool on penalties to win the Community Shield, these are good times for the Eagles. Palace have only spent £3m so far concentrating on defence but the good news is that they have lost none of their regular players.

Nottm Forest vs Brentford Preview:
Anthony Elanga will feel like a big loss to Forest but he has been sold and new blood brought in. There is a Brazilian pair of Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha in defence for just £20m. Dan Ndoye in midfield has been the bigger money move for £34m from Bologna.
Brentford have sold Bryan Mbeumo for £65m to Manchester United and so far he hasn't been replaced. The Bees have spent almost £50m with the biggest splurge going on Michael Kayode. The Italian comes in from Fiorentina.

Man Utd vs Arsenal Preview:
Although Manchester United were so poor last season after their recruitments this fixture will still be seen as a huge heavyweight one in the opening weekend. United need to improve and have brought in Bryan Mbeumo up front who done well last season with Brentford. The Red Devils have also brought in Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal want to go one step further after yet again finishing as runners up and their big new signing is forward Viktor Gyokeres for £55m. Noni Madueke has also come in from Chelsea and the Gunners have spent almost £200m. Clearly there is intent to improve.

Leeds vs Everton Preview:
Leeds will be looking to avoid common mistakes as they return to top flight football in what should be a fiery atmosphere at Elland Road. The newcomers have spent around £60m so far bringing in the likes of Anton Stach and Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri. Sean Longstaff has also come from Newcastle.
Everton have spent close to £80m, Kieran Dewsbury-Hall comes in from Chelsea and forward Thierno Barry joins from Villarreal for £27m. Jack Grealish has also been added to the squad on a loan deal from Manchester City.
