Crystal Palace vs Wolves: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 6th November 2021
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Selhurst Park

Match Preview:

Crystal Palace have probably pulled off their best result of the season last weekend as they beat the champions Manchester City away from home 2-0. It was a fantastic result that the fans will remember for a long time yet.

Palace are in a good place and haven’t lost for over a month although 4 of their last five games have finished in draws. The Eagles come into this game in 13th place and at home they are actually unbeaten although have only won once in a lopsided batch of results which have seen the club draw four of their five games at Selhurst Park.

It is fitting for us that both of these clubs will play each other because they are both showing good form. Wolves have 16 points and last week they beat Everton 2-1 at home. Bruno Lage’s side have won 4 of their last five games and haven’t lost for six weeks.

Depending on other results Wolves could push into the top five with victory at the weekend and away from home they have the sixth best record in the league where they have won 3 times and lost just once. Indeed Wolves come into this game unbeaten in their last 4 travels. Lage’s side last away game ended in a 1-1 draw against Leeds.

Team News:

Crystal Palace: Nathan Ferguson isn’t due back until the end of the month, but there are no new injuries for the club coming into this game.

Wolves: There are no new injuries for the club but they still have long term injuries to the likes of Pedro Neto, Jonny, Marcal and Yerson Mosquera.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves Head to Head:

Last season Crystal Palace won this fixture 1-0.

Wolves have won 3 of the last four meetings between the sides.

The last 7 meetings in a row have ended in under 2.5 goals.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves Prediction:

This is a game that could go under the radar especially as on the same day we have the Manchester derby, however there should be a lot to admire in this encounter with some real quality on the field. Both of these clubs are presently exciting with fresh managers in the dug out in Patrick Vieira and Bruno Lage. And it is interesting that both of them started their careers in the Premier League as managers slowly but after a few weeks have found out their clubs weaknesses and addressed them.

This leads us to believe that this could be a game where both cancel each other out. It's always a risk going for a draw, so we don't advise large stakes, but this game does appear to be a good candidate for a draw selection.

Striker Wilfried Zaha has been consistent now for almost a year and he has hinted that he may not take part in the Africa Cup of Nations in January, this is a boost for Palace. It also shows us that he is really committed to club football and is happy with the direction that the Eagles are going in. So we will back him to keep up his good form to score again.
