As each passing game goes on Chelsea are reaffirming their desire to qualify for the Champions League, and they will look at this game and believe they can underline that desire by winning here.

The Blues will be huge odds on to win this match given that Norwich are rock bottom and already relegated to the Championship, meaning their players will have little motivation. Chelsea have won 9 games at home which could have been much more but for their slow start understanding new manager Frank Lampard’s methods. However recently they have been superb and have won their last 4 consecutive games at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea however were given a shock 3-0 thrashing by Sheffield Utd in their last game, so they should be looking to bouce back from that surprise result.

Also, with the news that Man City have had their 2 year European competition ban lifted, there is real motivation for Chelsea to secure a Top 4 position, especially with Leicester and Man Utd hot on their heels.

Norwich are down and out and already relegated to the Championship. They only have themselves to blame, despite playing some good football they were just not able to convert their play into meaningful results.

It’s not surprising that the Canaries have the worst away record in the league where they have won just 6 points from 51. They have conceded 32 goals, which believe it or not is actually less than opponents Chelsea, but they have only scored 7 goals away from home and you simply can’t have that return and expect to stay up.
