England Premier League
Friday 30th November 2018
Kick off at 8pm GMT
Venue: Cardiff City Stadium
Match Preview:
Even though we were promised many Friday night games in the Premier League this season, they have been few and far between, so it may come as a surprise to fans to find that there is one this week. And the match up is between two teams desperate for three points and a win.
Cardiff are 19th and already this is looking like a campaign of battling for survival for Neil Warnock’s team. Last weekend they lost to Everton 1-0 but will be happier to return home where their last memory was of beating a good Brighton side 2-1.
A win for Cardiff would see them out of the bottom three and if they are going to survive it will be about how many points they can earn at home. So far that is 7 from 21 which is in no way good enough.
Wolves are in 11th place and have double the amount of points of Cardiff with 16. But all is not well for the team who have been tamed in recent weeks. After a superb start to their Premier League campaign they have not won a game since October 6th.
Last weekend was seen as the lowest point of the clubs season when at home in the same stadium where they drew against the champions Manchester City, they were defeated 2-0 by Huddersfield. They have won 1 game on the road in their last four matches coming into this encounter.
Team News:
Cardiff: Kenneth Zohore (calf injury) and Ashley Richards (hamstring) will both be assessed ahead of this game. Both had hoped to be back earlier but there have been delays.
Wolves: The squad is almost full with only Jonny Otto being unavailable with a knee injury. If all goes well the Spanish international is due back in the Christmas period
Cardiff vs Wolves Head to Head:
Last time the teams played Wolves managed to win 1-0 at this stadium.
Since 2008 Wolves have won just two times away from home against Cardiff.
4 out of the last 5 games has seen both teams to score.
