Match Preview:

Somehow Burnley are not bottom of the Premier League even though they have lost 13 games this season but they are in 18th place and come into this difficult tie with West Ham having lost their last 3 games in a row. Their Boxing Day clash was aptly named since they were beaten by a left and a right before being knocked out by Everton in a game that ended 5-1.

Sean Dyche’s team have conceded 8 goals in their last two games and a relegation battle is looming. They have fallen 3 points behind 17th placed Cardiff. At Turf Moor Burnley have lost 4 of their last 5 games and together with Cardiff they have conceded the most goals at home (20).

West Ham have been excellent in the past few weeks despite losing at home to Watford they have won 4 of their last 5 games and got an impressive 2-1 victory away to in form Southampton on Boxing Day.

The Hammers have climbed up to 9th place and only goal difference to Everton is keeping them out of 8th. It has been an incredible turnaround for the club under Manuel Pellegrini after their nightmare start to the season. Away from home their form has been incredible winning their last 3 games and picking up 11 points from their last 15.

Burnley vs West Ham Prediction:

Burnley is the type of game where an inform West Ham could slip up against a team that lack more quality than them this season. However what has been striking is that The Hammers have such a fantastic record at Turf Moor together with their form and the attitude of the squad it seems hard to look past them getting another win here. Watch out for Felipe Anderson who has been on fire in the past few weeks and should be backed to score again at the weekend.
