Somehow Burnley are not bottom of the Premier League even though they have lost 13 games this season but they are in 18^th place and come into this difficult tie with West Ham having lost their last 3 games in a row. Their Boxing Day clash was aptly named since they were beaten by a left and a right before being knocked out by Everton in a game that ended 5-1.

Sean Dyche’s team have conceded 8 goals in their last two games and a relegation battle is looming. They have fallen 3 points behind 17^th placed Cardiff. At Turf Moor Burnley have lost 4 of their last 5 games and together with Cardiff they have conceded the most goals at home (20).

West Ham have been excellent in the past few weeks despite losing at home to Watford they have won 4 of their last 5 games and got an impressive 2-1 victory away to in form Southampton on Boxing Day.

The Hammers have climbed up to 9^th place and only goal difference to Everton is keeping them out of 8^th. It has been an incredible turnaround for the club under Manuel Pellegrini after their nightmare start to the season.
