England Premier League
Saturday 6th October 2018
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Turf Moor
Match Preview:
Burnley are back! After starting the season in nightmare fashion with some injuries to players and one eye on the Europa League which they never qualified for Sean Dyche’s team are finally finding the style that made them such a formidable team last season.
Winning their last two games has taken the club from the bottom two up to 12th place, but what has been impressive and raised eyebrows is the way Burnley have come back. It hasn’t been with a whimper or through luck after they destroyed Bournemouth 4-0 and went to Cardiff and came away with a 2-1 win, and Huddersfield look to be the perfect opponent for The Clarets to continue their new found form.
As for Huddersfield, whilst it is only the beginning of October you get a sense that the team could be heading for the Championship next season. They are bottom of the league with just 2 points so far this season and they come into this game having lost their last 3 in a row. They have conceded 16 goals, so are shipping on average 2 goals a game and 10 of those goals have been lost away from home where they have gained just 1 point from a possible 9.
Team News:
Burnley: Robert Brady should get his chance to return to the squad after a lack of match fitness. James Tarowski is a doubt for this game after suffering a groin strain in Burnley’s last match
Huddersfield: Terence Kongolo won’t return until after the international break at the earliest with a hamstring injury. Christopher Schindler is makin progress with a knee problem and may be assessed ahead of this game
