Match Preview:

Last weekend Burnley lost 2-1 to Leicester but that was the clubs first defeat in over a month and considering they are 8^th coming into this game Sean Dyche will be more than happy.

The club have drawn 33.3% of their games so far and at home they have won 3 of their 4 matches only losing against Liverpool. A win could take the club up to 6^th place depending on other results, overall the club have massively improved from last season.

Chelsea have had a great week and it all looks like it is coming together for Frank Lampard, if anything this is a great period for the Blues. They come into this game having won 3 in a row and they beat Ajax 1-0 away in the Champions League in midweek to cap off an excellent week.

The Blues are in 4^th place with 17 points and could go 2^nd though they would need both Manchester City and Leicester to lose, but this has been a superb start from Chelsea baring in mind they have also had a transfer ban to endure and of course lost the services of Eden Hazard in the summer. Chelsea’s away form is the 3^rd best in the league and they have won 3 from their last four, their last away game ended in a 4-1 win at Southampton and without doubt they will be very confident of getting a result in this game.

Team News:

Burnley: Ashley Barnes should be back for this match after his groin injury and that will be a massive boost for the club. Jack Cork is looking good to be selected too after his shoulder injury. Chris Wood faces a late assessment after his hamstring injury

Chelsea: Ross Barkley missed the Ajax match through an ankle injury but he is being tipped to be fit for this match. Andreas Christensen is ruled out with his hamstring. N’Golo Kante is only 50/50 to make the squad with a groin injury

For us we can only see Chelsea notching up another win. Lampard is in a great moment and the players are clearly at least for now happy to play for him. They have some devastating youngsters in the team and mixed with the experienced players Chelsea are looking like a very decent side indeed. They are much better than Burnley, and yet the home side will no doubt ask questions of them. We expect a few goals here but Chelsea will be too strong and the Blues look set to march on as they try to grasp a top 4 place and keep within those positions.
