Brighton vs Norwich: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 2nd November 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Amex Stadium

Match Preview:

Here are two teams that if they were fighting a relegation fight throughout the season not many people would be surprised, and so even though we are still early into the season this is an important match.

Brighton come into this game in 14th place with 12 points and they have blown hot and cold this season and just look inconsistent so far. They beat Everton 3-2 last weekend after a Lucas Digne own goal gave them the winner, but they would have been delighted with the result given that they were losing the game.

A win at the weekend could see Brighton move into the top 10 depending on other results and at home they have lost just once this season. They are in very good form here scoring 6 goals past Tottenham and Everton in back to back wins.

Norwich are in 19th place and come into this game in very poor form having picked up just 1 point from their last 15. The Canaries have already lost 70% of their games so far and on the road they have the worst record in the league losing 4, drawing one, conceding 10 goals with just 1 goal scored. They haven’t scored a goal away from home since the beginning of August and their one goal was ironically scored against Liverpool.

Team News:

Brighton: Bernardo has been out for a few weeks with a knock and is now not expected back until mid November

Norwich: Tim Krul has a minor knee problem but should be fine to be included in the team. Jamal Lewis was ill last week but should recover in time for the game

Brighton vs Norwich Head to Head:

The teams have not met here since 2016 when Brighton won 5-0.

There is a 70% chance to see over 2.5 goals.

Norwich have won 3 from the last 4 games played at Brighton.

Brighton vs Norwich Prediction:

Norwich are there to be beaten and this is a great opportunity for Brighton who have all the tools to survive this season based on their home form. In fact anything other than a win would be very disappointing for the home side. Norwich look strong candidates to go down and yet if they win this game they could climb out of the bottom three. However it is very difficult looking at Brighton’s recent home record to go against Brighton and we will back them to win. Also we will back Brighton to get a few goals, 1-0 won’t do the job here and they have proven to be good at scoring goals, at home at least.

Brighton vs Norwich Betting Tips:

Brighton to beat Norwich at 1.72

Brighton to score 2+goals at 1.66
