Brighton vs Huddersfield: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 2nd March 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Amex Stadium

Match Preview:

Brighton’s worrying and poor form continued when they lost 2-1 away to Leicester in midweek. Perhaps it was just bad timing as they were facing a team happy that Brendan Rodgers had just been announced as the new manager but another defeat has left Chris Hughton’s side in 16th place on 27 points and just 2 points above the relegation zone.

The club have no wins in 2019 and have lost 4 of their last 5 games picking up just 1 point from their last 15 on offer. They also have no wins at home in their last 3 matches.

Huddersfield surprised everyone as they stunned Wolves in the final minute of injury time to beat them 1-0. It was only the clubs 3rd win of the season but they are still 13 points from safety. They would have to win an estimated 8 times from their last 10 to survive which would surely take a miracle. Still the club will take a lot from that win.

Their objective could be at least to not finish bottom of the league and they are just 3 points behind Fulham. Away from home they have won just once and from 39 points they have just 6.

Team News:

Brighton: Pascal Grob is out of this match with a hamstring injury

Huddersfield: Demeaco Duhaney picked up a knock in midweek and will be assessed ahead of this game. Tommy Smith is suspended for this game after his red card last month

Brighton vs Huddersfield Head to Head:

Earlier this season Brighton won 2-1 in the reverse fixture.

Last season this fixture ended 1-1.

There is a 70% chance that both teams will score.

Brighton vs Huddersfield Prediction:

This is the game that could give Brighton the perfect chance to snap out of their terrible form. If they cannot then Chris Hughton’s side could be relegated this season which would be a dramatic turn of events for the club that looked so solid in the early part of the season. Huddersfield will come here with a spring in their step, but their away form is still very poor. Our main bet here will be to see both teams to score and we will also back a returning Glenn Murray to score for the home side and try to reignite their season as it reaches the home straight.

Brighton vs Huddersfield Betting Tips:

Both teams to score at 2.20

Anytime goalscorer: Glenn Murray at 2.05
