A few weeks ago when Brighton were beating Arsenal at Amex Stadium the club looked like they were out of the woods and could enjoy the remainder of the season knowing their Premier League status was safe. But in the last two games their form has dipped. They host Huddersfield after losing back to back games against Everton and Leicester, losing on both occasions by the same scoreline of 2-0.
A win here would change the mood of the club because a win by Huddersfield would mean that the visitors would join them on the same points (34). At home Brighton have been fairly strong winning 6, drawing 6, and losing 4. But 21 goals over 16 games is not a great return.
Huddersfield on form are one of the poorest teams in the league and they have not won a game for 4 matches. They are losing to teams around them which could be fatal for their hopes of survival. But they do have a 3 point safety gap to the bottom three and a win here would be massive for the club. Away form is poor having lost 11 from their 16 matches and they have lost 4 from the last five games.
