Venue: Amex Stadium
Match Preview:
Brighton have been in good form coming into this game and in midweek won their 7th game of the season with a 2-1 win over Brentford. The Seagulls have climbed to 8th place with 25 points and are within touching distance of a possible European place. Roberto De Zerbi’s side have remained strong at home and hard to beat and that is underlined by the fact that they have lost just one game so far. However they are being anchored by draws and have only won 50% of their home games because of it. Three of their last four home matches have ended this way.
Burnley are in 19th place and are three points from safety and while time is on their side for now one could imagine that by this time next month they could be in serious problems and Vincent Kompany’s job could be on the line, one only has to look and see how bottom placed Sheffield United had to act. The Clarets have lost four of their last five games and their one win last weekend which was a good 5-0 win over Sheffield United and has been forgotten about now given their midweek loss at Wolves. This looks like being another tough away game although if results go their way they would pass Luton into 18th place. Burnley have only managed one win on the road so far which was against a bottom three side in Luton and have lost their last four away games.

Brighton vs Burnley Prediction:
You do get bogey teams and certainly Burnley have been one to Brighton when games have been played here but we're not convinced that’s going to continue. It’s almost been two years since the clubs last played each other and the home side have come on leaps and bounds since then. It’s really difficult to back Burnley to win games at home let alone on the road and to a side currently in the top 8. For us this is a home win and we may see a few goals too.
Burnley are under real pressure and December is a big month for the club who could end up remaining in the bottom three. They won’t lose games without a fight and they only narrowly lost 1-0 to Wolves away from home in midweek and that tells us that Burnley are going to fight for everything but they are coming up against a quality side at the weekend and it would feel like a real surprise if Brighton were to drop points.
