England Premier League
Friday 6th November 2020
Kick off at 5:30pm GMT
Venue: Amex Stadium
Match Preview:
There are two Premier League games on Friday and the first will see two teams who have started their campaigns with a struggle, Brighton and Burnley.
Brighton will be the favourites being at home and because they have actually tasted victory this season but this could be a very close match. Graham Potter’s side are in 16th place with 5 points and have no wins since travelling to Newcastle in August and claiming a surprise 3-0 victory.
So there has been no joy at home for Brighton and playing the team at the foot of the table could be the perfect opportunity to rectify that. One of the players that can help the Seagulls is Neal Maupay who was dropped at the last minute before the Tottenham clash after a heated exchange in the dressing room. If Brighton win they would in all probability only move up one place but it would obviously boost confidence heading into the next batch of matches.
Burnley are in trouble in 20th position with no wins and just 1 point earned from six games. Though manager Sean Dyche will remember how his side started poorly last season and then gained confidence and consistency. However in the cut throat world of football the knives will be sharpening and if this form continues for another month he could be packing his bags.
Burnley’s last game ended in a 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea though their last away fixture ended 0-0 against West Bromwich Albion, which is the only time they have earned a point.
Team News:
Brighton: Christian Walton has recovered from injury but is facing fitness tests and there is no assurance he will be ready for this encounter. Solly March has an ankle injury and will face a late assessment. Tariq Lamptey is being tipped to be fine for this game after suffereing what appears to be cramp. Lewis Dunk is suspended after his sending off.
Burnley: Gudmundsson has been beset with injuries he was thought to come back last week but still missed out and is only 50/50 to make this fixture. Ben Mee has a good chance to return after a lack of match fitness. Erik Pieters could be out for some time with a calf injury.
Brighton vs Burnley Head to Head:
Last season the clubs drew 1-1.
The last 3 meetings has seen both teams to score.
Brighton have failed to win at home v Burnley for the past four meetings and haven’t recorded a victory since 2013.
There is a 70% chance to see under 2.5 goals.
Brighton vs Burnley Prediction:
These type of fixtures can be very good for us where we can have an open market and that means good value in the prices.
Because of their dreadful start Burnley will be the underdogs but we think it might be worth backing Sean Dyche’s team to get at least a point. They have a fairly decent record over Brighton and in a clash that really could go either way. These are close games underlined by the fact that six of the last 9 meetings has ended in draws.
We will also back under 2.5 goals which has a good history of coming in with these two teams.
Brighton vs Burnley Betting Tips:
Asian handicap (+0.5 Burnley) at 2.030
