England Premier League
Saturday 3rd November 2018
Kick off at 12.30pm GMT
Venue: Vitality Stadium
Match Preview:
Bournemouth and Manchester United will kick off this weekend’s Premier League games when they clash on Saturday lunchtime.
Bournemouth come into this game in 6th place with 20 points and pound for pound have been one of the best teams in the league so far. Eddie Howe’s side have won 60% of their matches and have certainly punched above their weight as they look to continue their superb start to the season.
The home side are unbeaten in their last 4 games and haven’t lost a match since their surprise defeat against Burnley, which ended 4-0 almost six weeks ago. With no defeats at home Bournemouth will be be quite a formidable opponent and we should be looking forward to quite an intriguing match.
Manchester United have got off to a bumpy start this season, but a decent win here would see them go above their hosts. They are currently 9 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
United are on a 3 game unbeaten streak, their best of the season so far and they are scoring goals. 7 goals in their last 3 games underlines this, although forward Romelu Lukaku is under pressure to score more. Something seemed to awake in United after their comeback against Newcastle a few weeks ago.
Still this game remains a difficult one, and United have won just 2 of their 5 away games so far and they haven’t won on the road since the middle of September.
Team News:
Bournemouth: Simon Francis is set to return to the squad after his groin injury. Joshua King could also make the team after his ankle injury earlier this month
Manchester United: Diogo Dalot and Marianne Felliani were supposed to be making comebacks this week but there is still no news on the players who could well miss this trip. Valencia is training and has a chance to make the final squad
Bournemouth vs Man Utd Head to Head:
Last season Manchester United won this game 2-0.
Bournemouth have not beaten Manchester United since 2015.
The last 3 meetings have all ended in under 2.5 goals.
Bournemouth vs Man Utd Prediction:
In all 5 of Bournemouth’s home games so far this season Eddie Howe has opted with a 4-4-2 formation with King and Wilson up front. It will be fascinating to see if he will stick with this for the visit of United. Bournemouth are unbeaten at home but at the same time this will be the first real top 6 club they have played against at their stadium.
United have goals in them but are also leaking. They seem to have a good confidence installed in the team at last, and it is difficult to go against them. They have already proven once this season going to a team like Watford who were unbeaten at that point and getting the win. If we get past the media spin, United still have a very good side, which we shouldn’t ignore.
Bournemouth vs Man Utd Betting Tips:
