England Premier League
Tuesday 26th December 2023
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Vitality Stadium
Match Preview:
For Bournemouth Dominic Solanke is the man of the hour as he scored a brilliant hat trick at the weekend as Bournemouth beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 in an entertaining game and a match that felt like a six pointer. Solanke now has 12 goals and is joint 2nd with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and is only two goals behind Erling Haaland in what has been a superb season for him so far. As for his club they have climbed to 11th place and have 22 points and look like they will be safe with weeks to spare. At this rate even a possible European finish is on the cards but for now the club will be happy to finish in the top half of the table.
The Cherries have won their last 3 games in a row but at home they have struggled more than away. The majority result for them here are defeats with 3 from 8 games however form has turned in the past month and they have been able to go the last 3 games at home undefeated with wins over Burnley and Newcastle and a draw against Aston Villa.
Fulham followed up their penalty shoot out win over Everton to reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup by losing at home to Burnley. The Cottagers were downed 2-0 by a club who have already lost 13 times and this was seen as a surprise. Marco Silva’s side had recently won two home games on a trot by the same scoreline of 5-0 but normal service looks resumed now. Fulham have lost their last two games in a row and feel like a team who are quite unpredictable still the club have to be happy to come into the Christmas period in 12th place and are just a point behind their hosts. On the road they have lost 5 games from 9 and current away form is poor having lost their last 3 in a row and won just 1 point from their last 15 on offer.

Bournemouth vs Fulham Head to Head:
Last season Bournemouth won this fixture 2-1.
It’s been 5 games and four years since Fulham beat Bournemouth.
The last 4 games in a row have all seen both teams to score.
Bournemouth vs Fulham Prediction:
Bournemouth should have little trouble to win this game with the form they are showing. The clubs have had pretty much equal seasons so far but only one is looking more controlled and stable in the past six weeks. Fulham haven’t been travelling well, form looks like it is turning for the worst and their recent record over the Cherries is not good.
Despite this Bournemouth’s price is of value and we should take it. Dominic Solanke is looking like a player reborn and is really enjoying his football and we should take him on to continue to bang in the goals.
