Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Sunday 25th November 2018
Kick off at 1.30pm GMT
Venue: Vitality Stadium

Match Preview:

The first of two Sunday afternoon games in the Premier League will see Bournemouth take on Arsenal.

Bournemouth have got off to a positive start this season and having 20 points at this stage of the season would have had to please manager Eddie Howe. They are just a single point behind high spending Manchester United and have pulled off some cracking performances.

However it is true that Bournemouth come into this game having lost their last 2 games. Those defeats came against Man Utd which may have been expected but a loss to Newcastle was less so given the Magpies poor start to the season.

At home Bournemouth have lost just 1 game all season which of course as mentioned was against Man Utd. Although they have not collected 3 points here since the beginning of October.

Arsenal remain rejuvenated and look exciting and yet after a series of draws have dropped off the pace. They are 11 points behind league leaders Manchester City coming into this game, but the objective remains the same to finish in a top 4 position and a win would here would see them just a single point behind 4th and Chelsea.

The Gunners have drawn their last 3 games coming into this match. They are unbeaten away from home since August and in any game since the same time and have the 5th best away record in the league.

Team News:

Bournemouth: Asmir Begovic will be assessed ahead of the game after his hand injury. Joshua King has recovered from his ankle injury but will also be assessed before getting the green light to play. Junior Stanislas is back after a groin injury but will have to have a late fitness check

Arsenal: Stephan Liechsteiner should return to the squad after his hamstring injury. Nacho Monreal is out until December with his hamstring. Danny Welbeck could miss the rest of the year with his ankle injury

Bournemouth vs Arsenal Head to Head:

Bournemouth won this fixture last season 2-1.

Arsenal haven’t won here since 2016.

3 of the last 4 meetings has seen both teams to score.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal Prediction:

This will be a very enjoyable and open game and we have no doubt what our main bet should be which is to see both teams to score. Bournemouth have already scored goals at home and Arsenal score plenty away and this fixture has a history of both scoring. As for a winner, Arsenal really need this given that Chelsea finally lost a game this weekend. If Arsenal don’t win it will feel like a real blow to the club and they are due three points. This is a difficult ground to come to but we will opt for the Gunners to get a hard fought victory.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal Betting Tips:

Both teams to score at 1.44

Arsenal to beat Bournemouth at 2.00

Anytime goalscorer: Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang at 2.25
