Match Preview:
It’s been an interesting week for Arsenal who have started the season positively. True they lost their last game 3-1 against Liverpool at Anfield, but a few days later the clubs met again in the Carabao Cup, which Arsenal won on a penalty shoot out. The Gunners will play Manchester City in the quarter finals.
Though losing a game will be disappointing for the club it was against Liverpool away from home and they should be able to move on from that. They will be the odds on favourites to win this game, and it says a lot about the club that everyone will feel confident that they can get three points here, that wasn’t the case last season.
Arsenal come into this game in 5th place just 3 points behind Leicester in 1st and six goals from their matches is a decent return.
Sheffield United need to find the form that served them so well last season and they need to find it quick. The Blades have been cut down to size and are in 19th place having lost all of their opening 3 games of the campaign.
Whilst conceding just 4 goals is one thing, they haven’t scored one yet and that is no good for confidence. Last weekend their confidence was hit hard yet again because they were heading for a point against Leeds until the newly promoted side scored with just a few minutes remaining.
Team News:
Arsenal: The Gunners have long term injures to the likes of Callum Chambers, Shkodran Mustafi and Gabriel Martinelli but have no new major injury concerns ahead of this encounter.
Sheffield United: Jack O’ Connell has a bad knee injury and reports are suggesting that he could miss the rest of the season.

In the league Arsenal haven’t beaten Sheffield United since 2006.

Arsenal vs Sheffield Utd Prediction:
Sheffield United have got the better of the Gunners in the last few years even though of course Arsenal knocked them out of last seasons FA Cup and then went on to win the competition.
We don’t see much resistance from United in this game and this looks like being an encounter where Arsenal will ease to victory. They will want to get last weekend out of their system and right now they are looking their strongest mentally and physically in a few years.
We expect the usual suspects to be on the score sheet and for this to be a straight forward home win for Mikel Arteta’s side. We also expected Arsenal to be around the 1.44 mark to win but they are in fact slightly better at around 1.57, this represents decent value given that Arsenal should ease to victory.
