It's been one of those frustrating weeks where just about every unexpected result that could have happened, did happen. Bayern failing to win at home against relegation threatened Mainz was a big shock, but the one that summed this week up most for me was with FK Pribram beating FK Jablonec 4-2 away from home.
This may not mean much to some people, so let me tell you about this game. In FK Pribram's 12 away league games prior to facing FK Jablonec, they had only managed to score 5 goals, which is less than a goal every two games, and unsurprisingly they had recorded 0 away wins. Yet against our home selection (FK Jablonec) who had already recorded home wins against the likes of Sparta Prague, and only suffered 2 home defeats all season, they some how managed to score 4 goals with finishes Man Utd legend Paul Scholes would have been proud of. A complete freak result and freak performance which perfectly summed up a week of very unkind results.
Even our ultra safe £20 to £1000 Challenge tips were effected. We had climbed all the way to bet 8 and over £190 and then Bayern Munich failed to record what should have been a simple home win.
Unfortunately there will always be good weeks and bad weeks, and this week was just one of those weeks we can't really do much about.
Fingers crossed for the results to resume some level or normality this week so we can return to winning ways one more.
