Match Preview:

Southampton have had some positive results in pre season but the club will understand that they danced with relegation last season much too often and they will have to find a way to try and stabilise themselves in the league even if it means only finishing mid table.

Mark Hughes has brought in just four new faces including signing young Manchester City goal keeper Angus Gunn. Mohamed Elyounoussi could be a shrewd buy from Basel. The Saints had a decent pre season and even if they lost some games at least they tested themselves against the likes of Celta Vigo and Schalke.

Burnley have already been busy this summer having to play in the Europa League qualifiers and they overcame Aberdeen in the last round. They still have two more rounds to play to qualify for the compeition proper.

Sean Dyche’s side have had a positive pre season, claiming a draw against Montpellier but losing 2-0 at home to Espanyol. Many players have come into the side including the club splashing out £15m on Ben Gibson. Joe Hart finally left Manchester City and is now Burnley’s goal keeper.
