After such a solid season one has to wonder if the Blades are not being cut down to size in this one? Chris Wilder’s side have lost their opening two games of the season. Whilst that is not a major cause for concern since it is so early into the campaign people will be worried by their start.
Sheffield United have lost at home to Wolves by 2-0 and then lost away to Aston Villa and they are yet to score this season. Against Villa was telling though as they packed the midfield with a 3-5-2 formation and yet had just 28% of the possession and 1 shot on target, this against a club that last season just avoided relegation.
It doesn’t matter if you’re not a fan of Leeds they might end up becoming everyone’s 2nd favourite team of the season. They are in one word exciting. With just 2 games played they have scored 7 goals and conceded 7 and been involved in two 4-3 games, one they won and one they lost.
That defeat came against Livepool but the following week they amended that by beating Fulham. Leeds are fearless and they may smell blood in this game and take it to the Blades. Leeds come into this encounter in 10th place.

Sheffield United: John Egan is suspended for one game. Lys Mousset has had to have surgery for his injured toe and will be out for at least the next few weeks.
Leeds: Pablo Hernandez has a groin injury and is set to miss the next 10 days at least he is the only injury concern for the club.
